Hey everyone! Since the weather has been super hot, it's quite hard to find modest yet pretty and breathable outfits! So I thought for this blog post I would write about this outfit which I wore when I went into London on a hot day.

I actually don't wear jeans (it's quite rare to find me in them) I usually go for loose fitted, flowy trousers but for this outfit I thought the jeans were perfect and paired really nicely with the top. They're not tight making it modest and I love the hem too! These jeans are from Next which I purchased last year but I'm sure there are similar ones that you can find.

I paired the jeans with this mustard yellow blouse from Primark. I'm really into blouses especially ones with a v neck, I think they can make an outfit look put together and are great for summer. The one I'm wearing is a perfect modest blouse as it's longer at the back so that you're covered.

My red chiffon hijab was kindly gifted to me from my dear aunty which I believe is from Abu Dhabi. It adds a bit more colour into the look and contrasts well with the blouse. I don't usually wear bright hijab colours (I usually stick to neutrals) but I'm trying to wear more bright colours this summer and I felt that this colour looked the best and it's just such a nice shade of red making this outfit even more summery!

For shoes, I'm wearing these light pink pointed flats from Zara which I'm in love with! They're from the Zara Basic Collection and I've been wearing them ever since I bought them! And they are so comfortable and stylish! Perfect with abayas too! Especially all black abayas, the pointed toe stands out, completing the look really well.

Lets talk accessories! I'm wearing this blue, red and white striped bag which I bought from Aldo in Kuwait. I thought it added a touch of detail to this plain yet colourful outfit. If you're looking for high end bag dupes, Aldo is the place to go! They have beautiful bags for different occasions. When I walked into the Aldo store in Kuwait, It was like walking into bag heaven! I didn't know what bag to get! They had so much choice and they all looked amazing, when looking at the bags, I felt like each one was a dupe for a high end bag. They didn't look cheap at all! So, I would highly recommend looking in Aldo. I feel like my bag got some inspiration from Tommy Hilfiger hence the colours and I don't really have a bag like this in my collection. In terms of size and space, I would say it's quite small and you can't fit too much in there. Only just the essentials like your purse, phone etc. So I wouldn't say it's an everyday bag, mainly just for spicing up a plain outfit.

Sunglasses! The pair that I've been wearing non stop are from Ray Ban. I recently purchased them and can't find myself taking them off. I love the gold detailing and think these sunglasses are a little bit different and sophisticated.

I hope you enjoyed reading and InshAllah in the future I'll do more fashion related posts! To see more, follow my Instagram @aleishawritess.

With London enjoying the warmer temperatures, I've put together my summer skincare routine and how to protect and keep your skin healthy this summer!

This is my full skincare routine for when I want to pamper myself, on a typical day I might use a cleanser depending on what my skin is like. Then toner, moisturiser and sun-cream. I have mix combination skin, meaning I have both oily and dry.

C L E A N S E R

Let's start off with a cleanser, my all time favourite cleanser is the Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish. This cream cleanser leaves your skin feeling soft and radiant looking. This cleanser can be used to remove makeup and is great for stubborn makeup such as mascara. Apply a penny size amount and begin massaging the product over the face. Next, take the Liz Earle Muslin cloth (given with the cleanser) run it under hand hot water and gently remove the cleanser.

Next is exfoliating which I only do once or twice a week. I have two favourites both which are super gentle on the skin. The first one being the Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator and the other, the Clean And Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash. Using an exfoliator at least once a week will help get rid of dead skin, leaving your skin smooth, soft and breathing.

Face masks are my absolute favourite! I like to do one once a week and I have different ones depending on what my skin is like at the time. I've decided to choose my top favourite. This is a classic that I always find myself coming back to. The Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask helps remove dead skin, leaving your skin plumped, hydrated and glowy. Apply the mask all over the face avoiding the under eye area, leave it on for 10 - 15 minutes. You'll notice the mask almost sinking into your skin, then remove the mask using a muslin cloth.

To refresh and balance the skin, a toner should be used, you can find affordable toners at the drugstore from brands such as Garnier and Nivea but I typically like to use a rose toner which I make at home and put into a spray bottle. Or, other times I like to use Liz Earle's Instant Boost Skin Tonic. Toners are great to use in the summer, it'll refresh your skin in hot temperatures, I recommend keeping it in the fridge!

Then, I follow up with an eye cream which I've read that some apply this before moisturiser and some apply it after. If you use eye cream, when do you apply it? I only really use eye cream when I feel like I need it or when i'm doing my full skincare routine. The Liz Earle Super - Skin Eye Cream is great for de puffing the under eyes and leaving them feeling refreshed and awake.

For moisturiser, I like using Nivea Soft, which is light but still leaves my skin feeling hydrated.

With the sun out, it's very important to follow up with a sun-cream, which I use everyday whether it's sunny or not. I use the suncream by Garnier. Putting on sun-cream helps hydrate the skin while protecting it from the sun.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed reading and found some new skincare products to try and maybe add to your skincare routine. This post is not sponsored by Liz Earle, I just generally love their products and would highly recommend them, once you try them, you'll never go back! I'll even let you into a secret, my dad use to work there which is how I found out about the brand and began using their products.

Lots of love,

Aleisha

For my first blog post, I've decided to write about a new cafe in town, which I recently visited for my birthday with my cousins.

I N T E R I O R

Feya cafe is located on 23 James street, around the corner of St Christopher's place. It's smaller than in pictures but super pretty and elegant! With a cherry blossom tree, marble tables, dusty rose velvet seating, what's not to love about this cafe?

Their menu, created by author, food photographer and recipe designer Virpi Mikkonen, features healthy breakfasts including avocado toast and rainbow smoothie bowls to delicious savories such as powerhouse salads, tarts and sandwiches. I decided to go for the pastel rainbow smoothie bowl while my other cousin opted for the happiness pancakes and the other a cheesecake. For drinks, both me and cousin got the rose lychee lemonade and my other cousin got the berry hibiscus lemonade.

Overall, I think the food looks pretty and well presented. I would rate it 6 out of 10. If you were to go to this cafe, I would recommend the desserts as my cousin absolutely loved the cheesecake she ordered. The smoothie bowl and pancakes looked pretty and presented nicely but I don't think it's worth the prices and can be easily made at home. The drinks however, were really refreshing especially as it was super hot the day we went making it a great cooler.

Lots of love,

Aleisha
